Hats are chic all year round, but get inspired this season! Last autumn popularized classic wool, but why not ditch the pure laine for this limited-edition embroidered statement hat. This is the must-have accessory for FW 2019 to keep out the chill of nationalism and islamophobia. Dieu merci (ou plutôt #namastm).
We dug into our archives of stylish gear fitted perfectly for the cyclical fascist gasps to come up with this retro-forward headgear design — des Consultations sur les accommodements raisonnables de 2007, en passant par la Charte des valeurs de 2014, jusqu’à la Loi sur la laïcité de l’État de cette année. Ben oui, esti, ça fait un criss de bon bout de temps qu'on s'y met, tabarnak.
The FCK CAQ is inspired by power and flow. It features classic (and classy) details of resilience and solidarity in the face of recurrent, pathetic attempts by reactionary populists to prevent Muslim women and immigrants of colour from making a living. The 80s inspired cap is a perfect match to the see-through hypocrisy galvanized by white fragility whether it takes the form of a values test, the devaluation of taxi permits, the recycling of thousands of immigration applications, or the ban on people’s religious attire in key workplaces.
Le FCK CAQ est l’accessoire parfait pour celles et ceux qui en ont plein leur casque de la CAQ.
For a cool twist, why not accentuate it with a pair of middle fingers raised at the fascist state. Whether worn running errands, as cheeky office-wear, or at a protest calling for the dissolution of the current political party, this is probably one of the boldest trends this season that will stand the true test of time.
